Stats Suck Sundays

Today is Labor Day weekend.  I'm not quite sure what it's celebrating...hmm, maybe I should know this.  Anyways, I'm headed to the family's for BBQ Ribs and Potato Salad! Yummy! First I'm headed to this awesome place called Winco.

For anyone who doesn't live in the inland empire You ARE missing out.  This place is like a large Sam's Club, but not bulk items, all regular items like a real store, but really cheap.  Like tomato sauce at Vons or Albertsons would be about $0.65 (8oz can), but at Winco it' only $0.23!  Seems like a small amount, but I've done identical shopping lists at the competition store and literally it saves me about $40.00 every-time I shop at Winco.

You can get items from the bulk section like nuts or dried mangoes, kinda like a health food market in this are.  Fresh fish, meats, cheeses, deli items, coffee!  Anything you want this place has it!  I get excited when I go, which is kinda lame is an exciting part of my week is grocery shopping, but as I think about I'm not ashamed.  I'm saving $40 bucks! :)

Does anyone have a favorite food store to shop at??

  1. Believe it or not, but our favorite food store to shop at is the Super Wal-Mart. A number of years ago I discovered the Super Wal-Mart experience while working on my Doctorate degree in Colorado Springs. Right across from the Red Roof Inn, which is where I always stayed when I went out for classes, there was, at that time, a new Super Wal-Mart. Wow!

About a year ago a Super Wal-Mart opened up about 20 minutes away from us. It has everything, it's fresh, it's clean, and the prices are right.

  2. Oh my goodness..I love that store. Have you tried the "raspberry bagels" from the good, like dessert. It is so fun to shop there. You just want to buy stuff 'cause its so cheap.
    Have fun...
